Join Our Exciting Back-to-School Math Classes!

Are you ready to supercharge your child’s math-ability?  Our team in midtown Toronto is thrilled to announce three fantastic group classes:

  1. Math Enrichment for Students Entering Grades 7 and 8: Dive into the world of word problems and math competitions! Our expert instructors will guide students through strategies to tackle complex problems, boost critical thinking, and build confidence. Whether it’s acing math contests or mastering challenging word problems, this class has it all.

  2. Getting Ready for High School Math (Grade 9): Transitioning to high school can be daunting, but we’ve got you covered. In this class, students will bridge the gap between middle school and high school math. We’ll cover essential topics like algebra, geometry, and number sense, ensuring a smooth and confident start to high school math.

  3. Advanced Functions Prep (Grade 12): Attention, university-bound students! Your marks in Advanced Functions matter for university applications. Join our prep course as we dive into the first half of this important class. Our experienced instructors will equip you with the tools needed to excel!

By joining our program, your child will gain confidence and develop valuable problem-solving skills that will benefit them in their math journey and beyond.   We would be delighted to work with groups of friends.   Get our confidence-building curriculum and expert tutors at a fantastic value.

Math Enrichment (Grades 7 and 8)

  • Course Description: Students in small groups will embark on a 2-week virtual learning experience.  Students will explore various mathematical topics in a fun and interactive way. This workshop features dynamic classes designed to increase confidence with math word problems.  
  • Designed for high-performance students entering Grades 7 or 8 next month.    
  • Topics of Focus include: Algebra, Fractions, Percentage, Order of Operations, Integers, and Exponents
  • Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from August 19 to 30, 2024 –  from 10:30am to 12pm (90 mins)
  • Minimum of 3 students for enrichment workshop to begin.  Price: $395.
  • When you refer a friend to our enrichment workshop, you save $50.

Back-to-School: Intro to High School Math (Grade 9)

  • Course Description: Students in small groups will embark on a 2-week virtual learning experience.  Students will explore various mathematical topics in a fun and interactive way.  This workshop features dynamic classes designed to increase confidence and to get ready for high school mathematics.
  • Topics of Focus include: Algebra, Fractions, Percentage, Order of Operations, Integers, and Exponents
  • Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from August 19 to 30, 2024 –  from 1:30pm to 3pm (90 mins)
  • Minimum of 3 students for workshop to begin.  Price: $395.
  • When you refer a friend to our workshop, you save $50.

Back-to-School: Preparing for Advanced Functions (Grade 12)

  • Course Description: Students in small groups will embark on a 2-week virtual learning experience.  Students will explore various mathematical topics in a fun and interactive way. This workshop features dynamic classes designed to help students get a head start on learning the first half of Grade 12 key concepts.
  • Ideal for students who scored better than 70% in Functions 11 and those who have to take multiple Grade 12 university math courses this coming year.  They will most likely be taking Advanced Functions come September.
  • Topics of Focus include: Polynomial Functions, Polynomial Equations and Inequalities, Rational Functions
  • Tuesdays, August 20 and 27
  • Thursdays, August 22 and 29
  • Saturday, August 24
  • All scheduled classes are from 11am to 12:30pm (90 mins)
  • Minimum of 3 students for program to begin.  Price: $350.
  • When you refer a friend to join the same summer workshop, you save $50.
 
 
Terms & Conditions

Please note that:

  1. Group classes are non-refundable, with the exception of insufficient enrolment, where Math Doctor reserves the right to cancel group classes.  In such a case, families will be provided with a 24 hr notice and the option to change the program to be 1-on-1, a future credit on your account, or a full refund.
  2. In the unlikely event of a teacher illness, a substitute instructor will lead the class for the day.
  3. In the event a student missed a lesson, a recorded meeting will be sent to your child for him/her to review.
